Isolated
Synopsis
Hannah, a young woman living on her own in New York City wakes up next to Stefan, a random tinder hook-up who was meant to be flying home to Italy the following day. That is until they see the news. The lockdown has been moved forward, to now. The deadly virus spreading across the city had sped up and everyone was required to immediately quarantine, meaning Stefan is stuck. With his flight cancelled, and airports closed, he is left to stay with Hannah until he is once again able to leave. This turn of events forces Hannah to not only deal with Stefan but to deal with her own thoughts which had previously been suppressed. She begins to evaluate her past decisions and realizes the cycle she has put herself in. She sleeps with strangers to fill this void, to feel wanted, to feel anything. As Hannah’s mental health plummets, Stefan has to learn how to be there for her and help her accept herself. Through ups and downs, fits and fights, drinking way too much wine, and at least one major breakdown, they must learn to live with each other, and themselves. After a couple of weeks, and lots of tears it is once again safe, and the airport reopens. Thanks to Stefan, Hannah is motivated to try and get better as he heads home.
